Stop Treating UX as a Separate Phase

User Experience is not a "phase" that happens before development; it is a continuous activity. The Professional Scrum with UX (PSU) training is a hands-on, activity-based course that challenges the misconception that UX doesn't fit in Scrum.

Many teams struggle with "Water-Scrum-Fall," where design happens sprints ahead of coding. In this course, you will experience how Scrum and UX align to connect more closely with end-users. You will learn to work effectively in a dual-track Agile process, balancing discovery work and delivery work within a single Sprint.

Double the Experience, Double the Focus To maximize your learning experience, we often deliver this training with two experienced trainers. This ensures you get diverse perspectives from the field and sufficient personal attention during breakout sessions. Our Professional Scrum with UX (PSU) trainers are active practitioners who bring years of consultancy experience to the classroom.

What You Will Learn

The goal is to move from "output" (features built) to "outcomes" (value delivered). We provide you with the techniques to do product development "easily" and "quickly" while including high-quality UX work.

Course Topics

We follow a case study throughout the course to cover:

  • Scrum & UX Fundamentals: How the UX mindset and Scrum framework complement each other.
  • Framing Work: Moving from requirements to "Problems to Solve."
  • Outcomes over Output: Focusing on user value rather than velocity.
  • Managing UX in Scrum: Practical patterns for UX work inside a Sprint.
  • Experimentation: Designing low-cost experiments to ride the "Truth Curve".

Who Should Take This Course?

This course is essential for Scrum practitioners struggling to integrate continuous product discovery. It is ideal for:

  • UX Professionals struggling to work inside the Scrum framework.
  • Scrum Teams who currently externalize UX work (design agencies/silos).
  • Product Owners needing to validate assumptions before building.
  • Developers who want to collaborate better with designers.

Certification & Assessment

This course is the official preparation for the Professional Scrum with UX I (PSU I) certification.

  • Assessment Included: You receive a password to attempt the PSU I assessment after the course.
  • Free Retake: If you attempt the assessment within 14 days and score less than 85%, you get a 2nd attempt at no extra cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to be a designer to attend? No. The course is designed for the entire Scrum Team. Developers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters benefit significantly from learning how to integrate UX work.
  • Is this a design workshop? It is a process workshop. While we use design techniques (like personas and prototyping), the focus is on how to manage and integrate this work within the Scrum framework.
  • What is "Dual-Track Agile"? Dual-Track Agile describes the parallel process of Discovery (figuring out what to build) and Delivery (building it). In this course, you learn how to do both simultaneously within one Scrum Team.
