Expert Delivery

Facilitated by experts who combine deep Agile knowledge with hands-on Lean experience.

Why Integrate Lean with Scrum?

The LEAN4SM workshop is a one-day course designed to dive into the easy-to-apply basic theory and mindset of LEAN. We zoom into the world of LEAN within different work environments and explore how it integrates with the Agile mindset for practical application.

Many Product Owners and Scrum Masters struggle to take full ownership of value or optimize efficiency. The aim of this course is to set a practical fundament of LEAN and help you develop the skill of thinking in value and value streams.

What You Will Learn

This training focuses on the "marriage" of LEAN and Agile integration. The course aims to provide a thorough understanding of the theory, brought to life through practical assignments and facilitated, interactive exercises.

Course Topics

During this day, we cover the following modules:

  • Methodology Differences: Understanding the core distinctions between Lean, Agile, and Six Sigma.
  • Let LEAN Flourish: Knowing when and where to apply these principles effectively.
  • Value & Waste: Defining value and learning to recognize and remove non-value-adding activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Mastering adaptation and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle.
  • Experiments & Data: Setting up experiments and using basic statistics.
  • Integration: Practical steps to apply these tools within your Scrum framework.

Who Should Take This Course?

This course is intended for Scrum Masters who are looking for a firm basic understanding of LEAN and the integration of continuous learning within their work environment.

It is also highly valuable for other roles working cross-team or supporting the organization:

  • Agile Coaches & Release Train Engineers (RTEs)
  • Managers and Team Leads
